Poodle Colors

History has shown colored Poodles from the beginning of time. Some were shown in the early days and are documented as far back as the late 1800's and early 1900"s.The famous Vulcan Kennels, of England bred their last litter, that produced Partis in 1965.

Colors:

There are many colors of the Poodle. These colors are referred to as Parti Poodles because they have two or more colors of the coat. The Mirriam-Webster Dictionary defines parti-colored this way:

Although more than two colors are referred to as Parti Poodles they come in varying patterns. Some of the more common patterns are Phantoms, (as in the pattern of a Doberman) Brindles, (as in the Boxers) Sables, (as in the German Shepards) and the Tuxedo.
